Dental Assistant Training

During our visit to Peru in 2022, I witnessed the remarkable efforts of medical providers and local volunteers in delivering care to patients and the community. However, if local volunteers and assistants could become more familiar with the procedures and best practices used in Canada, it would significantly enhance the effectiveness and quality of care provided. As an assistant and observer during our visit, I believe I can collect, document, and present the standard procedures followed in Canadian dental offices. By sharing this knowledge with local volunteers in Peru, we can make substantial improvements to the workflows of the mobile clinics we worked in.
